Key fobs

After many requests to see the different key fob designs, I've finally posted some photos! Most people pop over to my house if they're interested in picking out a key fob, but that's not cost effective when a plane trip is involved! The key fobs are $7 each, or $6 each if you purchase 3 or more. They are so handy if, like me, you have a tendency to lose your keys at the bottom of your purse. The strap also fits over your hand to hang on your wrist, leaving you hands free to load bags into the car or pick up a toddler.

Snails Pace

I have some skirts sewn now! I hope to pick up the sewing pace a bit. My daughter seems to want one of every fabric combination I make...this could take a while...

Pattern progress

The first pattern style is finished! The second pattern should be done by Thursday. Now I just need to find a source for oak tag. Barefoot Graphics in California, MD was helpful last time I went in, so I'll check with them. Recently they sold me a 15 foot length of wide white paper. So useful!

Finally!

I've done it! The Polka Dot Forest Blog has begun!

Right now I'm working up patterns for 2 girl's skirt styles, each with two variations. There is a lot of trial and error in this process. I should have the patterns done by the end of next week. Then it's on to a massive cutting and sewing frenzy! My first big sales opportunity is December 6, 2008, which gives me about 2 months to get organized. Like my friend said today, there is nothing like a deadline to get you moving!

At some point I will open an online store at etsy.com. This is where Polka Dot Forest products will be sold!
